As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing geotechnical expertise and delivering innovative solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for conducting site investigations, analyzing soil and rock samples, and evaluating geotechnical data to support engineering designs and construction projects. Your work will involve performing geotechnical analyses, designing foundations and retaining structures, and preparing technical reports. You will collaborate closely with project teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and site characterization studies.
- Perform laboratory testing on soil and rock samples.
- Analyze geotechnical data, including soil properties, groundwater conditions, and slope stability.
- Prepare geotechnical design recommendations for foundations, retaining walls, and earthworks.
- Perform geotechnical analyses using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, including geotechnical data interpretation and recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure geotechnical considerations are integrated into the overall project design.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, laboratory testing, and geotechnical design principles.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as Plaxis, gINT, and Slope/W.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
