We are seeking a dynamic and technically strong Senior Process Engineer to join our growing Water Team. This role will be based in our Atlanta office and offers a flexible hybrid-remote schedule. Key Responsibilities
Lead technical planning, biological process and/ or mechanical design, and construction support for various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects.
Work on diverse projects including combined sewer overflow, collection systems, pump stations, stormwater management, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and other water/wastewater infrastructure.
Prepare engineering calculations and run process models (Excel, Biowin, GPS-X, etc.).
Develop technical reports, business case evaluations, and design documentation.
Assist in project scope development, budget management, and scheduling.
Conduct on-site inspections, provide technical guidance, and support project start-ups as needed.
Maintain strong client relationships, attend meetings, and contribute to business development efforts.
Support team collaboration, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the water and wastewater practice.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
10-12+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
In-depth understanding of conventional activated wastewater treatment processes, including biological and chemical nutrient removal, high-rate disinfection systems, and biosolids treatment.
Demonstrated success in the detailed design and project execution of water/wastewater treatment facilities.
Ability to lead multi-discipline project teams and mentor junior engineers.
