A global entertainment solutions MNC is looking for a General Manager / Senior Operations Manager in Japan (preferably in Tokyo). This will be their first hire in Japan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for business development, staff management, financial oversight, business operations and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Location: Japan (preferably Tokyo)
Responsibilities:
- Identify new business development opportunities and expand operations to meet growth objectives
- Liaise and negotiate contract terms with park management and partners
- Ensure smooth daily operations of all entertainment activities, maintain adequate stock levels, and promptly address feedback.
- Prepare, review, and report on budgets and expenditures. Manage costs to stay within budget.
- Ensure all sites adhere to statutory requirements and internal processes. Conduct audits and implement loss prevention strategies.
- Scale the business from ground zero (first hire)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or any relevant disciplines
- 15+ years of experience managing business development and operations for entertainment, tourists attractions, theme parks, recreation sites etc.
- Strong language fluency in Japanese and English
- Willingness to travel across Japan and work remotely
