Overview:
Our client, a leading engineering firm specializing in forensic investigations and structural analysis, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Forensic Structural Engineer to join their Dallas office. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough investigations of structural failures, provide expert analysis, and deliver comprehensive reports. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigation: Conduct detailed investigations of structural failures, damage assessments, and other forensic analyses.
Analysis: Perform structural analyses using advanced engineering software and techniques to determine the causes of failures and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting: Prepare clear and concise reports detailing investigation findings, methodologies, and recommendations.
Expert Testimony: Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings related to structural failures and disputes.
Collaboration: Work closely with legal professionals, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to provide expert insights and support.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in forensic engineering.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering, with experience in forensic investigations.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license required; additional certifications in forensic engineering or related areas are a plus.
