Fire Sprinkler - Project Manager
About the role:
We We are a leading commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler, Millwright & Rigging) firm seeking a motivated Project Manager for our Fire Sprinkler Department. As a Project Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects of fire sprinkler projects, ensuring timely completion, quality, and safety. You will manage project milestones, communicate with clients and subcontractors, and lead internal project meetings.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate with field teams on project production, quality, safety, and subcontractor performance.
- Develop and assist in scheduling work.
- Review in-progress designs for accuracy and compliance.
- Mobilize and de-mobilize sites as needed.
- Review plans and specifications to determine scope of work.
- Generate job cost analysis.
- Conduct site visits and generate reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all active installation/contract jobs.
- Coordinate project milestones with internal departments.
- Lead internal project meetings.
- Oversee project progression from inception to completion.
- Ensure proper handover of job information and assess risks.
- Attend job site meetings as the company representative.
- Lead project close-out/commissioning.
- Track, manage, and approve contract change orders.
- Maintain accurate project reports and documentation.
- Use ERP systems to manage job performance.
- Review job plans and stock-lists to improve efficiency.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project status.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems.
- Experience with commercial projects ranging from $100k to $5MM.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management software.
