Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Develop cost estimates by assessing the resources and labor required for electric, telecom, or gas utility projects.
Supplier Pricing: Evaluate supplier pricing to determine the cost of each component individually and negotiate for the most competitive rates.
Cost Databases: Maintain cost databases to streamline future estimates and include typical expenditures.
Project Review: Assess project requirements, analyze plans, and understand budget and time constraints.
Component Pricing: Determine the cost of each supply component.
Labor Calculation: Estimate the amount of labor needed to complete the project.
Collaboration: Work closely with team members and contractors.
Profitability Calculations: Perform calculations to identify the most profitable methods.
Supplier Relations: Maintain good relationships with suppliers.
Expense Description: Clearly describe expenses and resources required for projects to provide a detailed project quotation. This may include preliminary schedules, schedule of values, and bid design copies.
Support Team: Assist team members with tasks as requested by supervisors to advance projects for the benefit of the organization.
