An environmental consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager for their Anchorage, AK office. The selected individual will manage Department of Defense projects with a focus on CERCLA remedial investigations/feasibility studies and munitions/UXO investigations for contaminated sites. These projects typically range in size from $50K to $2M, providing ample room for leadership and growth.
Specific Duties:
Lead Project Proposals:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of project proposals for Department of Defense projects.
Project Management:
- Manage projects primarily focused on CERCLA remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and munitions/UXO investigations, ensuring they stay within scope, schedule, and budget.
Collaborate Across Disciplines:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams of technical experts, including environmental engineers, geologists, and chemists, to successfully execute projects.
Staff Supervision:
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client requirements.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure projects meet all relevant regulations, including CERCLA, RCRA, and State of Alaska regulations.
Client Relationships:
- Maintain and strengthen positive relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and State of Alaska regulations.
- Experience in Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) is highly preferred.
- Prior experience managing natural resource projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated staff supervisory experience and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technical disciplines.
Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience
