Electrical Project Engineer- REMOTE
A well-established, full-service engineering, design, and construction management firm is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join its team. Headquartered in Pennsylvania, this organization has been delivering exceptional engineering solutions for private and public buildings and facilities for over 75 years. Their high-profile projects span the nation, with a strong focus in the Northeast.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including low- to medium-voltage power, lighting, distribution systems, telecom, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Perform load calculations, site visits, surveys, studies, reports, and commissioning tasks for various commercial buildings and facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure designs are accurate and meet client expectations and contractual requirements.
- Review and interpret NEC codes, client specifications, and support the improvement of quality assurance processes.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
- Provide engineering and design consultation directly to clients and prospective clients.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and drafters.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit applications is required.
- Ability to lead electrical building systems design, from utility coordination to construction administration.
- Experience with on-site electrical studies and field surveys.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure design is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver exceptional client service.
- Capacity to work independently and foster a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building System Design from an ABET-accredited program.
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical building systems design, including power distribution, telecom, lighting, fire protection, and security systems.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Ability to travel to project sites.
