Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Salary: $95,000-$100,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully understand the project's objectives, scope, deliverable, budget, and other factors influencing design activities.
- Set design criteria for specific projects.
- Lead the design and detailing of engineering systems.
- Oversee the creation of construction/equipment installation documents and project deliverable.
- Conduct analysis and design calculations or assign these tasks to other team members.
- Review and evaluate technical accuracy and compliance of computer program and manual calculations with established design criteria.
- Coordinate with the project team and all design disciplines throughout the project.
- Perform field surveys and prepare related reports.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction, equipment installation, etc., at various design stages.
- Participate in the preparation of project specifications.
- Conduct periodic design reviews to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, regulations, and contract requirements, maintaining technical and quality standards.
- Review shop drawings for compliance with contract requirements and documents.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- 5-7 years of successful project experience in a consulting engineering firm.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, and discipline-specific software packages.
- Expertise in engineering systems and related design principles.
- Understanding of other disciplines and the interrelationship of various design elements.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and general building codes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- LEED Accreditation is preferred.
