BIM Coordinator - Electrical- Washington DC
Job Description
We are seeking a BIM Coordinator - Electrical to support the design and coordination of electrical systems for data center projects in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BIM modeling and coordination, with experience in electrical design or construction. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate and efficient integration of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM Coordination: Manage and support BIM workflows for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project standards and requirements.
- Modeling & Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical models using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Clash Detection & Resolution: Perform clash detection and work with other trades to coordinate resolutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and field teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project models.
- Quality Control: Review models for accuracy, adherence to project specifications, and constructability.
- Process Improvement: Help develop and refine BIM standards and best practices to improve efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination for electrical systems.
- Strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution in a BIM environment.
- Understanding of electrical systems in construction projects, preferably data centers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to work with cross-disciplinary teams.
