Job Description:
LVI Associates is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer on behalf of our client in Sacramento. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and analysis, with experience in a variety of project types including commercial, industrial, and residential structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for various types of buildings and structures.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and compliance with design specifications.
- Utilize advanced software tools such as SAP2000, ANSYS, and RISA for structural modeling and analysis.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ANSYS, RISA).
- Strong understanding of building codes and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
