Job Description: As an Earthwork/Excavation Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of earthwork and excavation projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that all estimates are comprehensive and align with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project.
- Prepare and present cost estimates and bid proposals to management.
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on earthwork and excavation projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
