Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to join our team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and projects. Develop and implement strategies to secure new business and expand the company's market presence.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their construction requirements.
- Proposal Development: Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals and bids. Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on market insights.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business development plans aligned with the company's growth objectives. Set and achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Networking and Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Build a strong professional network to enhance the company's reputation and visibility.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the construction industry.
- Industries may include: Higher Education, Mixed Use, Hospitality, or Heavy Industrial.
- Proven track record of successfully securing new business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
