Key Role Overview:
In this hands-on leadership position, you will play a crucial role in delivering our company's audio-visual services while providing strategic guidance and management to our operations. Key Objectives:
Operational Efficiency: Take responsibility for the efficient and profitable operation of all internal processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless day-to-day functioning of our business, optimizing resources, and maximizing staff productivity.
Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and maintain strategic operational policies and procedures. You'll need excellent communication skills to collaborate with all staff levels, establish best practices, and define standards and procedures.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the Operations Department, analyzing performance and collaborating closely with team members.
Equipment Management: Take ultimate responsibility for the timely preparation and dispatch of rental equipment orders and the checking-in of returned equipment.
System Development: Manage, develop, implement, and control operational systems, fostering innovation and efficiency.
Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control and assurance procedures while exploring and integrating new technologies.
Cost Management: Oversee cost control within the Operations Department and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safe operation of the warehouse, transport, and operations, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and incident reporting compliance.
Team Management: Lead, allocate tasks, and support direct operations reports as per the company's organizational chart.
Recruitment: Coordinate the recruitment and selection of new employees within the operations team.
Payroll and Compliance: Monitor, administer, and approve payroll and overtime payments for direct reports, in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Procedural Adherence: Enforce operational procedures and practices at all times.
Asset Maintenance: Ensure equipment presentation and functionality standards are met.
Inventory Control: Maintain and update inventory control systems for rental assets and stock items.
Client Support: Provide out-of-hours support and advice to Project Managers and clients.
Stock Checks: Undertake and manage scheduled stock checks on all rental and sales items.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (preferred).
- Proven experience in audio-visual or related operations management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage resources and optimize operational processes.
- Compliance and safety-oriented mindset.
- Inventory and cost control expertise.
