Role overview
The company is seeking a Design Engineer with a keen interest in concrete and precast structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for a variety of construction projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Key qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering is required, with a Master's degree preferred, or equivalent work and industry-related experience.
- Preference for candidates who are Licensed Professional Engineers (PE) or Structural Engineers (SE) in Illinois.
- A minimum of 3 years of varied project experience in building design.
- Experience with precast prestressed concrete design is advantageous.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla, as well as other engineering softwares
- Eagerness to learn new engineering principles and stay current with code updates
