Job Title: Controls Engineer

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for manufacturing processes. This role focuses on optimizing automation, troubleshooting control systems, and ensuring the seamless operation of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Control System Design & Integration:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for manufacturing equipment and production lines.
- Program PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems to ensure smooth production operations.
Troubleshooting & Optimization:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, control systems, and automated equipment.
- Optimize control systems to improve efficiency, uptime, and performance in the manufacturing process.
System Maintenance & Support:
- Provide ongoing support for manufacturing automation systems, performing routine checks and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify system improvements and implement corrective actions.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Create and maintain system documentation, including diagrams, program code, and operation manuals.
- Ensure systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing protocols.
Collaboration & Training:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, maintenance) to ensure effective system integration and performance.
- Train operators and maintenance staff on control systems and best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in controls engineering within the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), HMI, and SCADA systems.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of control systems, PLC programming, and industrial automation.
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing automated production systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
