Job Description: Design and Programming Coordinator
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Organization: Accept and document new projects from the Manager; understand project requirements and collaborate with Sales and Management for scheduling.
Design Package Preparation: Create design packages (submittals) including wiring diagrams, sequence of operations, and necessary schedules according to project documentation and Division standards.
Project Management Coordination: Prepare project manuals and transfer unique project data to the Project Manager for installation review.
Programming Project Organization: Accept programming projects, analyze timelines, and collaborate with the programming and Ops management team to understand requirements.
Programming Preparation: Develop DDC programs, complete documentation, test operations, and coordinate turnover to technicians, following up on results.
Construction Coordination: Address programming issues during construction, implement field recommendations, and assist with DDC commissioning through site visits as needed.
System Verification: Conduct on-site performance verification ("Big Picture Checkout") with HBT technicians to ensure proper system function.
Project Close-Out: Finalize design and programming packages, complete As-built documentation, archive backups, and assist with Service department turnover and owner training as necessary.
Industry Knowledge Maintenance: Attend educational workshops, review industry publications, and stay updated on installation methods and product specifications.
Travel Willingness: Understand and respond promptly to the needs of high-profile customers across multiple regions.
