Senior Automation & Controls Engineer

Example Projects:
- Upgrading control systems to improve efficiency and integrate new safety detection devices for automatic activation without manual intervention.
- Programming, startup, and commissioning support for large-scale pump replacement projects.
- Automating bottling tank rooms and integrating new PLC-controlled transfer systems to streamline production.
- Enhancing efficiency in pharmaceutical manufacturing by implementing PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and software solutions aligned with process control specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and implement automation solutions.
- Design, develop, and program PLCs, HMIs, and DCS systems.
- Oversee detailed control system and electrical designs for industrial applications.
- Direct engineers and CAD designers in the preparation of construction and control panel design drawings.
- Work closely with clients to identify needs and translate them into practical, high-performing automation solutions.
- Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and apply innovative approaches to automation challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering or consulting, with exposure to multiple industrial sectors.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Expertise in PLC/HMI programming, with proficiency in Rockwell Automation controllers and HMI platforms.
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and other industrial communication protocols.
- Experience working with SCADA systems such as Wonderware, iFix, DeltaV, and Ignition is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business goals into engineering solutions.
