We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead projects valued at $10 million and above.
Position Overview
As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of commercial and multifamily construction projects from pre-construction through completion. You will ensure projects are executed efficiently, meet quality standards, and stay on schedule and budget. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to manage large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and oversee project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, design specifications, and client expectations.
- Coordinate and lead project kickoff, progress, and closeout meetings.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Provide clear direction and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to all stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Budget & Cost Control:
- Track project costs and approve expenses to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and claims effectively to maintain profitability.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and change orders.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project management roles for commercial and multifamily construction.
- Demonstrated success managing projects valued at $10 million or more.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Leadership & Communication:
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
- PMP (Project Management Professional).
- LEED Certification.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
