Project Construction Technician 1 (Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Overview: Our national multi-disciplinary engineering firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Construction Technician 1 (Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor) to join our team for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Quality Assurance Inspection projects on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others regarding plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and the methods, practices, and safety precautions involved in the construction and installation of the work.
- Prepare daily progress reports and maintain progress schedules.
- Check shop drawings and contractors' quotations for variations.
- Keep records of quantities and cost of materials used.
- Prepare contractors' periodic progress payment claims and recommend payment.
- Supervise a staff of inspectors as needed.
Qualifications:
- NICET Transportation Engineering Technician - Construction Level 3 or higher
- 10 years of highway inspection experience
