Title: Community Manager
Summary: My client is committed to a zero-carbon future, with a focus on lowering the cost of energy through engineering and technology. My client is a global power generation company with a focus on biomass and pump storage offering a reliable source of power to secure the electricity grid. They are looking to bring on a Community Manager who will be a critical part of their team leading the community strategy for the North American business unit. If you are passionate about the environment and have experience managing community programming, storytelling and delivering complex information then this could be the role for you!
The Community Manager will be responsible for:
- Create and execute a community strategy for the company's US operations.
- Going into communities listening and engaging with various members and leading strategic giving efforts.
- Creating relationships with community stakeholders, and working with underrepresented voices in these communities.
- Supporting strategies that will enhance the reputation of the US operations and maintaining stakeholder confidence.
- Working closely with internal and external communications to make sure that messaging is consistent, accurate, and aligned with the companies values.
- Developing the core narrative for use across North American audiences and translating it into the communities programs.
- Working with local media to manage community events.
The Community Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Experience developing and managing community engagement programs and managing associated budgets.
- The ability to take complex information and share it across a variety of channels and relay it to multiple audiences.
- Experience in building and maintaining community and key stakeholder relationships.
- An excellent communicator and can remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
