Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Automation Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for commissioning building automation systems to ensure they operate as intended. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing systems to achieve peak performance and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
- Perform functional testing and verification of system components.
- Identify and resolve issues related to system performance and integration.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure systems meet design specifications and client requirements.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans and procedures.
- Document commissioning activities and results.
- Provide training and support to building operators and maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify system installation and operation.
- Stay current with advancements in building automation technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building automation system commissioning.
- Proficiency in HVAC systems, control theory, and building automation software.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CxA, LEED, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience with various building automation platforms (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls) is preferred.
