Job Overview: Our team is seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our existing team of engineers, developers, legal specialists, and construction/project managers. In this role you will lead our utility-scale solar project efforts on the civil component side and support project management related efforts as well.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the organization as the civil SME for utility-scale renewable energy projects across the country.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, engineering & design review, risk review, and commercial operations.
- Put together technical reports & documentation for projects while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations are met.
- Review external consultants work, collaborate with project managers, construction managers, and third parties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6-7+ years of civil engineering.
- Previous solar experience preferred but willing to consider other years of industry experience.
- Focus in one or more areas: site development, storm water drainage, erosion control, solar trackers, solar modules, land development for solar facilities, BOP, etc.
- Four year bachelors degree in engineering.
- Proficiency in applicable software & tools.
- Excellent communication skills & willingness to learn.
