A leading professional services firm is seeking a Project Manager to join their Land Development team in either Minnetonka or St. Cloud, MN. The company boasts a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing top-tier professional services to clients. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, driven, high-performer with excellent communication skills. This individual will combine their civil engineering technical skills with project management experience to coordinate, plan, organize, and execute projects within their team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficientlyy manage land development civil engineering projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
- Lead civil teams to produce comprehensive civil plan sets.
- Effectively manage internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology and hydraulics, etc.), communicating and managing technical details as well as schedules and budgets.
- Implement QA/QC programs and ensure compliance within the project team.
- Collaborate with City/County staff for project plan approvals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, allocating resources through different project stages.
- Administer construction services portions of projects, including RFI response and site meetings with contract
Manage up to five assigned technical personnel, including:-
- Assigning and overseeing project assignments.
- Reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.
- Training staff and promoting professional development.
- Maintaining job satisfaction and morale.
- Assisting with performance evaluations.
- Recommending compensation adjustments and/or promotions.
- The compensation for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Additionally, this is a bonus-eligible position, offering further potential for financial recognition based on performance and company success.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects.
- Experience in cost estimating, bid phase assistance, construction administration, and general construction methods.
- Proficiency with current computer-aided design (CAD/Civil 3D) and production software, with the ability to learn new versions or new technology.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of eight years of total experience, with four as a Project Manager (or equivalent).
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college (experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at management's discretion).
- Previous experience working with clients in the residential markets.
Preferred Experience:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Minnesota (or eligible for licensure).
- Strong presentation skills paired with the ability to coach and motivate others.
Compensation Range:
Minimum: USD $90,000.00/Yr.
Maximum: USD $150,000.00/Yr.
