Our dynamic growth and continued success have created a new opportunity for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager in our Minneapolis office. This role offers exciting challenges while managing design teams on single and multi-discipline projects. For the right candidate, this position also provides the potential to develop into a Group Leader in the Minnesota office.
As a Civil Engineer/Project Manager in our Minneapolis office, your responsibilities will include:
- Project engineering and management, including project oversight, setting priorities, developing objectives, project financial management, and hands-on involvement in the design process.
- Serving as a technical resource for site civil team members.
- Mentoring less experienced staff members.
- Engaging in business development activities, including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multidiscipline environment.
- Participating in professional society involvement.
We are considering candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and managing a wide variety of site development projects, municipal roadway, and utility projects.
- Knowledge of stormwater management design and permitting regulations.
- Knowledge of municipal utility design, including sanitary sewer and water main.
- Experience managing a group is a plus.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and successfully lead a group is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline and architect-led team on large facility projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Minnesota. PE licenses in other Midwest states are a plus.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members.
- Success in business development planning, including developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience, and proposal development.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Civil3D, hydrology, and hydraulic software.
