Job Title: Chief Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Austin. As the Chief Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all geotechnical engineering projects and providing technical leadership to the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to gather data and assess geotechnical conditions
- Prepare and review engineering reports, design calculations, and drawings
- Provide technical leadership to the engineering team
- Mentor and train junior engineers
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure project success
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Maintain relationships with clients and develop new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with geotechnical software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience leading a team of engineers
