Job Description: We are seeking a licensed engineer focused on building envelope consultation, with dedicated experience in multifamily existing structures. The role will include building envelope assessments, design, peer reviews, and reporting for both new construction and rehabilitation projects in a dynamic and evolving sector of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in design meetings with clients and architects on new construction projects.
- Interface with senior staff regarding market trends, building science philosophy, and project resource sharing.
- Conduct building envelope assessments and peer reviews.
- Be client-facing, ensuring effective communication and relationship management with clients.
Qualifications:
- Active engineering license (PE) in the state of Florida, or willingness to relocate to central Florida and seek licensure through reciprocity.
- B.S. degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct industry experience, with previous experience in firms offering envelope consultation preferred.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to convey ownership/stakeholder goals to the project team.
- Experience with ASTM standards specific to envelope systems.
