Building Envelope Consultant

We have an amazing opportunity for a Facade Engineer to join a rapidly growing team and organization in New York City. This individual will be responsible for inspecting facades, identifying the deficiencies, detailing of facades deficiencies and coordinating project work with the team. Must be conscientious and creative, detail-oriented, and professional with attentiveness to client communications.

Role Responsibilities:

• Must be able to ride on scaffolds for buildings from 5-50 stories. Must be capable of identifying facade deficiencies.
• Must be capable of marking up facades and quantifying the deficiencies for contractor and prepare a rough field draft for drafting team to complete drawings.
• Interprets building codes and project/design/construction specifications.
• Prepares façade detailing as necessary in 2D and 3D format for client communication If necessary. Review drafting team work and compare with field markups before issuing to contractor.
• Assists in construction administration, responding to RFIs, organizing submittal logs, weekly updates, etc
• Attends construction meetings, performs site inspections, and prepares field reports for clients.
• Interacts with team members and clients regarding project information.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture. Master's degree preferred.
• EIT is required. Professional Engineer License preferred.
• Must have 4+ years façade restoration experience
• Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Prior experience in project coordination and management is preferred
