Role Overview
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Condition Assessor to join the team. This role involves working primarily on commercial buildings and offers the opportunity for travel, as services are provided throughout Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building inspections and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough building condition assessments for commercial properties.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining the condition of building systems and components.
- Identify and document deficiencies, potential issues, and maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored assessment services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices.
- Provide recommendations for repairs, maintenance, and improvements based on assessment findings.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building inspections or a related field.
- Experience working on a range of buildings, including mechanical and electrical components.
- At least 4 years of experience and the ability to hit the ground running.
- Strong knowledge of commercial building systems and components.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Canada.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
- Certification or licensure in building inspection or a related field is preferred.
