Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver cutting-edge projects in the Building Automation Systems (BAS) industry. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for optimizing building performance through advanced automation technologies. This role will involve managing project lifecycles, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the successful deployment of building automation solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Coordinate with engineering, installation, and commissioning teams to align project milestones.
Team Leadership:
Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
Foster a collaborative work environment to drive innovation and efficiency.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring project success.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing project-related inquiries and updates.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and other external partners.
Conduct regular status meetings and generate progress reports for stakeholders.
Technical Oversight:
Oversee the design, programming, and implementation of building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management solutions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in building automation.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies for future projects.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project management within the building automation or related industries.
Strong understanding of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Familiarity with industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LON is a plus.
