One of the largest growing Controls Integrators in the Mission Critical industry is looking to grow their Engineering group by bringing in a lead for the design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement building automation systems (BAS) to control HVAC, lighting, security, and other integrated systems.
- Create detailed design documents, including control diagrams, wiring schematics, and sequences of operation.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure design specifications are met.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary data for system design.
- Select appropriate control devices, sensors, and equipment to meet project needs.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of BAS to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users on system operation and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in building automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in designing building automation systems, with a strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and control systems.
- Proficiency in using design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to BAS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification in building automation systems (e.g., Certified Energy Manager, LEED AP, etc.) is a plus.
