Position Overview:
As a Bridge Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of bridge structures. You will work collaboratively with a team of engineers and project managers to ensure that our bridge projects are executed with precision and adhere to industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed design and analysis of various types of bridge structures, including roadway and pedestrian bridges.
- Develop and review construction documents, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct structural evaluations and inspections of existing bridge infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
- Utilize engineering software for modeling and analysis (e.g., SAP2000, LARSA, or similar tools).
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in design principles and project execution.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies related to bridge engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required); Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and Structural Engineer (SE) license are required.
- 5+ years of experience in bridge design and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, state and local design standards, and relevant codes.
- Proficient in structural analysis software and AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
