Job Summary: As an AV Programmer, you will be responsible for the programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to deliver customized AV solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and Configuration: Develop and implement control system programming for AV systems using platforms such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, and others.
- System Integration: Integrate various AV components, including displays, projectors, audio systems, video conferencing equipment, and control interfaces.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV systems, providing on-site and remote support as needed.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed programming and system documentation, including diagrams, code, and user manuals.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of AV systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and user satisfaction.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide training on AV system operation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in AV programming and system integration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron) and knowledge of AV networking, signal flow, and system design.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP), AMX Certified Programmer, or Extron Control Professional are highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
