An AV (Audio-Visual) Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems in various locations. This role requires extensive travel to client sites, technical expertise in AV equipment, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure AV systems, including projectors, screens, sound systems, video conferencing equipment, and digital signage.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements.
- Assemble and mount AV equipment as per the client's specifications.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular maintenance checks on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV equipment.
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operation of AV systems.
Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to understand their AV needs and provide technical recommendations.
- Train clients on the proper use and maintenance of installed AV systems.
- Offer after-sales support and address any client concerns promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and client interactions.
- Prepare and submit detailed service reports after each job.
- Keep inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with the technical team to develop innovative AV solutions.
