Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled AV Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing audio-visual systems for various projects. This role requires a deep understanding of AV technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and other team members to deliver high-quality AV solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design: Develop comprehensive AV system designs, including schematics, equipment lists, and installation drawings.
- Technical Consultation: Provide technical expertise and consultation to sales teams and clients, ensuring AV solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of AV systems into larger projects.
- Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and environmental factors, and to ensure feasibility of proposed AV solutions.
- Documentation: Create detailed project documentation, including system diagrams, cable schedules, and user manuals.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the installation and commissioning of AV systems to ensure they meet design specifications and performance standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during and after installation.
- Training: Provide training to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of AV systems.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends to continuously improve design practices and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (CTS-D, CTS-I) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV system design and engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AV design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio), and strong knowledge of AV technologies and equipment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
