Project Automation Engineer
We are seeking a Project Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of industrial automation systems. This role involves working on PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, system integration, and commissioning for projects across industries such as chemical, power, food & beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial automation, control systems, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
- Develop control system architectures, wiring diagrams, and panel designs in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Provide Ignition SCADA development and integration for real-time monitoring and control.
- Support system upgrades, troubleshooting, and optimization to improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
- Assist in commissioning, startup, and on-site support to deploy automation solutions.
- Ensure all designs and implementations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and best practices to drive innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automation and controls engineering.
- Experience with PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Omron, etc.).
- Ignition SCADA experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for automation and control system failures.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
