Job Description: Associate Fire Safety Engineer
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Fire Safety Engineer in Sydney. As an Associate Fire Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of various building projects across the region in addition to managing a team and growing client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fire safety assessments and inspections for new and existing buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Prepare and review fire safety reports, fire engineering designs, and evacuation plans.
- Collaborate with project teams, architects, and other stakeholders to provide expert advice on fire safety measures and solutions.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize fire hazards.
- Stay updated with the latest fire safety regulations, codes, and industry trends.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior fire safety engineers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in fire safety engineering.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards, including the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Australian Standards.
- Accreditation(s) in NSW would be highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Safety Engineering or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess fire risks and develop appropriate fire safety strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
