One of Michigan's longest operating and most reputable Architectural Design firms is seeking a qualified Architect to join their team and deliver, largely, K-12 Education projects. Skillset may vary as there are multiple needs in this studio, but the ideal candidates will be able to contribute to the production and design of projects as well as act frequently as a Project Manage and client lead. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and planning of Architectural projects ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Develop conceptual designs, construction documents, and technical specifications in collaboration with project teams.
- Work closely with clients, users, and design teams to understand project requirements and functional needs.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to integrate architectural and MEP systems seamlessly.
- Conduct site visits and construction administration to oversee project progress and resolve design challenges.
- Ensure that projects align with sustainability goals and LEED standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design advancements, and building codes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Licensed Architect (or on track for licensure) preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on educational facilities preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with permitting, zoning, and ideally the bond funding process.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
