We are seeking an experienced and passionate Air Quality Monitoring Specialist to join the team in Portland, Oregon at a forward thinking air quality consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air quality monitoring instruments and practices, low-voltage power systems, radio telemetry, and network communications. This role requires occasional travel to California on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain air quality monitoring instruments and equipment.
Manage and troubleshoot low-voltage power systems and radio telemetry.
Utilize network communications for data collection and transfer.
Operate Campbell Scientific dataloggers and ensure accurate data logging.
Conduct data analysis and prepare comprehensive reports.
Pilot Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) for air quality monitoring purposes (license or ability to obtain required).
Work effectively in a high desert environment.
Collaborate with a team conducting fieldwork, and effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Familiarity with air quality monitoring instruments and practices.
Experience with low-voltage power systems, radio telemetry, and network communications.
Proficiency in operating Campbell Scientific dataloggers.
Computer and data analysis skills.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (drone) pilot license or ability to obtain one.
Ability to work outdoors in a high desert environment.
Experience working on or with a team conducting fieldwork.
Strong ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to team members.
